Albyn Architects was founded by Mark Dellaquaglia, in 2015. Ian McGregor teamed up with Mark, in 2018, to develop an architectural practice capable of delivering high quality commercial and residential projects. With an experienced design team, Albyn Architects are well placed to meet the demands of any building project.

Ian McGregor
Director | Architect
Ian is the principal architect and responsible for the day to day running of the practice.
Career
Before being appointed director of Albyn Architects, Ian was a director of McGregor Garrow Architects. A company he founded and established over a 5 year period, before selling his share to focus on the development of Albyn Architects. Prior to this, Ian has held key roles working in several architectural practices; Ian Rodger Architects, Halliday Fraser Munro, Space Solutions and Squire Associates.
Education
Ian studied at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, in Aberdeen. He graduated with a Masters in 2007, before qualifying as an Architect in 2009.
Areas of Expertise
Ian is experienced in delivering high quality residential and commercial projects, including; bespoke extensions, office and retail fit-outs, healthcare and community buildings.
Mark Dellaquaglia
Director
Career
Mark founded Albyn Architectural, a company he ran successfully since 2015, before rebranding as Albyn Architects in 2018. With over 20 years of experience, Mark has held key roles in several architectural companies, including; Senior Associate at Space Solutions, Project Manager at Knight Property Group and Technical Director at Unispace.
Education
Mark began his architectural training at Aberdeen College, before progressing onto Building Construction and Architectural Technology course at Robert Gordon University.
Areas of Expertise
Mark has wealth of knowledge and experience, from traditional architectural services, masterplanning, turnkey developments, workplace consultancy, fit-out refurbishment and construction management.
Caroline McBain
Associate Architect
Career
Before becoming an Associate Architect, at Albyn Architects, Caroline worked at McGregor Garrow Architects, Space Solutions and Pihl Uk.
Education
Caroline studied at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, in Aberdeen. She graduated with a Masters in Architecture in 2013 and before going on to qualify as an Architect in February 2018.
Areas of Expertise
Caroline has worked on projects over various sectors, including; office fit-outs, new schools, healthcare and many successfully completed residential projects.
